A version of the game that we can play on modern consoles that plays as close to the arcade/dreamcast version as possible with a couple of QoL improvements. Call it Marvel vs Capcom 2: Return of the Heroes or whatever other corny name, but the whole point of the campaign is to bring back a version of mvc2 that hasn't been legally available for the last 8+ years. As long as we're fantasy booking, a game like this would work better with invitationals and exhibitions rather than an open format. Can't speak for any of those companies, but a tournament circuit doesn't hinge on re-balancing the game. If something like this is "fixed", would people be upset? It's a fine balance to walk in terms of "fixing" legacy glitches. ![]() What ends up happening is the devs will get rid of all sorts of bugs and go "Look guys we fixed all these bugs! It's the least buggy version of the game ever!" without actually consulting players and members of the community as to what bugs are "bad" vs "good". I do agree some game breaking bugs should be fixed. Yes, this is what I meant by too many changes. ![]()
